Setting up Handwriting Pen Shortcuts:

During the writing process, you can quickly switch high-frequency functions using handwriting pen shortcuts.
Function Setup Step 1: Open any note → Open the right sidebar → More Settings → Scroll down to Handwriting Pen Shortcuts → Choose the shortcut that matches your handwriting pen → Select the desired function to toggle.
Function Setup Step 2: Home → Settings → Scroll down to Handwriting Pen Shortcuts → Choose the shortcut that matches your handwriting pen → Select the desired function to toggle.

Compatible Handwriting Pen Models:

- Huawei Touch Pen (Double-click)
The M-Pencil2 does not have buttons, so please select "Touch Pen (Double-click)" to set up quick toggles for the M-Pencil2.
In the double-click submenu for the touch pen, you can choose to toggle functions by double-clicking the M-Pencil2 pen body. Functions you can toggle include switching brushes, toggling the last-used tool, changing colors, adjusting stroke thickness, switching to eraser mode, switching to lasso tool, and undo.
For example, if you set "Touch Pen (Double-click)" to "Switch Brush," when the brush is selected in the toolbox, double-clicking the touch pen will toggle between different brushes in the toolbox
- Xiaomi Handwriting Pen (Main Key, Secondary Key)
The Xiaomi Handwriting Pen comes with main and secondary key buttons. Therefore, please click "Main Key (Single-click)" and "Secondary Key (Single-click)" to set up quick toggles for these two buttons.
Single-click actions for the main and secondary key buttons can be set to: switch brushes, change colors, adjust stroke thickness, switch to eraser mode, switch to lasso tool, and undo.
For example, in settings, you can set "Main Key (Single-click)" to "Switch to Eraser" and "Secondary Key (Single-click)" to "Switch Brushes." When the brush is selected in the toolbox, a single click on the main key will switch to the eraser, and a single click on the secondary key will toggle between different brushes in the toolbox.
- Samsung SPen Handwriting Pen (Long Press)
The Samsung SPen handwriting pen has one button. Please select the "SPen Button (Long Press)" option.
The SPen button can be set to: long-press to activate the eraser.
- OPPO Touch Pen (Double-click)
In the double-click submenu for the touch pen, you can choose to perform actions by double-clicking the pen body. Actions you can set include switching brushes, toggling the last-used tool, changing colors, adjusting stroke thickness, switching to eraser mode, switching to lasso tool, and undo.
- VIVO Touch Pen (Double-click), VIVO Generation 1 Pen (Long Press)
In the double-click submenu for the touch pen, you can choose to perform actions by double-clicking the pen body. Actions you can set include switching brushes, toggling the last-used tool, changing colors, adjusting stroke thickness, switching to eraser mode, switching to lasso tool, and undo.
For the Generation 1 Pen, the button can be set to: long-press to activate the eraser.
- Lenovo Touch Pen (Long Press)
For Lenovo Touch Pen, the button can be set to: long-press to activate the eraser.

Note:

1. If the settings are not working, please check your tablet's system settings to ensure that the handwriting pen's shortcut key settings are enabled. If the shortcut key settings for the handwriting pen are turned off in the system, please enable them before configuring the shortcuts in Notein. (If you disable shortcut key settings for the handwriting pen in the system, the settings in Notein will not work.)
2. Notein currently does not support shortcut key settings for third-party handwriting pens that are not officially produced by Huawei, Xiaomi, or Samsung.
