Create a New Note:
- Open Notein on the home screen.
- Tap the large "+" button (the "New" button).
- In the menu popup, select "Standard Note."
- Alternatively, you can choose to import a PDF, PPT, Doc, image, or create a quick note.
Create a Quick Note:
- Creating a quick note allows you to skip the template selection step and go directly to the note editing page.
- If you want to change the default quick note style, you can do so on the "Choose Template" page.
Choose a Template:
- In the templates, select the paper orientation (portrait or landscape).
- Choose the paper size. Currently, A4 and borderless note sizes are available.
- Select the paper color, which can also be customized.
- You can adjust the grid spacing as needed.
- Scroll up and down the template list to choose a template style.
- There are six types of template styles available for both portrait and landscape orientations: "Basic, Two-Column, Three-Column, Study, Professional, Plan."
- By default, notes do not have covers. If you want to set a cover, click on the "Cover" image to switch to the cover options.
- Scroll up and down the cover selection area to find a cover you like.
- Each portrait cover has a corresponding landscape cover, and you can freely choose them as needed.
- In the document name field, enter the name of your document (or skip this step).
- Click "Create" to enter the editing page, and your new note is created.
Now you can start writing and creating in your new note!
Customizing Quick Note Templates:
On the template thumbnail, there is a new "pentagon star" icon in the upper right corner. Click it to light up the pentagon star, and the template will be set as a "Quick Note" template. If you want to change the style, just click the pentagon star on another template (the one with the pentagon star lit is the "Quick Note" template).
Cross-Page Writing:
Notein supports cross-page writing, which means all elements on the page, such as strokes and images, can be freely dragged and moved across pages.
Automatic Page Addition (Default):
Notein's page addition mechanism is automatic paper feeding. If there is only one page in the current note, when you write any strokes on the page, the note will automatically add the next page.
Swipe Up to Add Page:
In the application settings, you can find the "Swipe Up to Add Page" switch (Application Settings - Document Settings - Swipe Up to Add Page). Enabling this switch will replace the default automatic page addition mode. You can swipe up at the end of the page until you see the "Release to Add Completed" prompt, and then release to complete the addition. If you want to revert to the "Automatic Page Addition" mode, simply disable this switch.
Manual Page Addition:
To manually add a new page or insert a page into the note, click the "Insert Page" menu in the top title bar.
Add Pages in the Right Sidebar:
Click the "Sidebar" button in the top title bar (the last button on the right) to expand the right sidebar.
In the page preview, you can see all page thumbnails of the current document. There is a "..." menu on the left side of each page, click it to bring up the menu operation popup,
Click the "Copy" button in the menu to copy the current page.
Add Pages in the Tiled Thumbnail View:
Click the "Sidebar" button in the top title bar (the second button on the left) to enter the tiled thumbnail view. Here, you can perform various operations on the pages of the current document.
In the tiled thumbnail view, you can click the ➕ to add a page. (The added page will automatically copy the style of the last page or template.)
